By accessing or using HolyPrompt (the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms') and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HolyPrompt ('we', 'us', or 'our'). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance.
HolyPrompt is an AI-assisted prayer companion application that generates personalized, scripture-informed prayers based on your input. The Service is intended as a spiritual tool to support your personal prayer life. HolyPrompt is not a church, licensed counseling service, crisis intervention platform, or replacement for pastoral care. Prayers generated by the Service are not theological authority and should not be treated as such. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or a crisis helpline.
You must be at least 13 years old to use HolyPrompt. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. You are solely responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. • All activity that occurs under your account. • Providing accurate and current account information. You may not share your account with others or allow others to access the Service through your credentials. Notify us immediately at support@holyprompt.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
HolyPrompt's Devoted plan includes up to 100 AI prayer generations per 30-day cycle, designed for personal spiritual use. The specific limits are: 4.1 Monthly Volume: A reasonable monthly volume of prayer generation, currently set at 100 prayers per 30-day cycle, accommodating the needs of even the most devoted prayer life. 4.2 Daily Limits: Daily generation limits to prevent automated or scripted abuse, currently set at 10 prayers per day for Devoted members. 4.3 Input Limits: Prayer requests are limited to 1,000 characters to ensure focused, meaningful prayer generation. 4.4 Account Protection: We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that exceed these guidelines in patterns inconsistent with personal use, including but not limited to: automated requests, identical repeated inputs, or volumes substantially exceeding typical usage. We will provide notice and opportunity to discuss before taking action whenever practical. 4.5 Real Use Protection: These guidelines protect the integrity of our service and ensure HolyPrompt remains affordable and accessible for everyone. Real users virtually never approach these limits.
HolyPrompt offers a free 'Seeker' tier and a paid 'Devoted' subscription plan. Devoted Plan Pricing: • Monthly: $4.99 per month • Annual: $39.99 per year (~$3.33/month) Devoted Plus Pricing (adds AI audio prayers): • Monthly: $9.99 per month • Annual: $79.99 per year Free Trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial of the Devoted plan. No credit card is required to start it, and no charges are made during the trial. At the end of the 7 days your account automatically moves to the free Seeker plan. It does not convert to a paid subscription, and we never charge you unless you separately enter payment details and confirm a subscription yourself. Billing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page (Settings → Manage Subscription). iOS users may also cancel via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Android users may cancel via Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, refund requests are handled by Apple or Google respectively in accordance with their refund policies. Plan Changes: We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes take effect.
You agree to use HolyPrompt only for lawful purposes and in accordance with its intended spiritual purpose. You must not: • Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or reproduce the underlying AI prompts, models, or system instructions. • Use the Service to generate content that is hateful, abusive, discriminatory, or contrary to its stated purpose. • Misrepresent the AI-generated prayers as entirely your own original work in contexts that would be misleading. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure. • Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair the Service. • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards.
Your Content: The prayer text you enter and the prayers generated based on your input belong to you. You retain full ownership of your personal prayer library. Our Content: The HolyPrompt application, its design, underlying AI prompts, system architecture, and all related intellectual property belong to HolyPrompt and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without express written permission. License to Operate: By using the Service, you grant HolyPrompt a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your prayer content to train AI models.
HolyPrompt uses third-party artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate prayer text based on your input. By using the prayer generation feature, you acknowledge that: • Prayers are generated by AI and are not written by a human pastor, counselor, or theologian. • AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or theologically imprecise language. • Generated prayers are a starting point for personal prayer. You are encouraged to personalize, edit, or discard any content that does not reflect your own faith. • HolyPrompt does not warrant that generated prayers will be suitable for all Christian traditions, denominations, or personal circumstances.
If you choose to post to the Community Prayer Board, you agree that: • Only the brief summary you explicitly write for sharing will be visible to other users. Your full prayer text is never shared. • You will not post requests that are abusive, inflammatory, off-topic, or violate these Terms. • We reserve the right to remove any community post that violates our standards, at our sole discretion. • Posting is a feature available to Devoted subscribers. Seeker users may view the board in read-only mode.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOLYPROMPT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the theological accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated prayer content.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HOLYPROMPT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HolyPrompt and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.
Let's try to sort things out directly first. Email hello@holyprompt.app and a real person will read it. Small claims: You always keep the right to bring an individual claim in small claims court, in your own county, for any dispute that qualifies there. We will not try to move it. Individual claims only: To the extent permitted by law, you and HolyPrompt agree that any dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. This does not apply to any claim or right that cannot be waived under applicable law, including certain claims under California law. We do not require you to give up your right to go to court, and we do not force disputes into private arbitration.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a revised date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
